New opportunities of the Smart City platform

In Belarus, the Smart City Digital Platform is сurrently under development. Soon, it will combine existing information services and provide new tools for addressing urban management tasks, socio-economic development, and organizing interactions between authorities, businesses, and citizens.

One of the goals of developing the Smart City platform is to implement decision-making support tools by providing relevant and reliable information. Primarily, these capabilities are aimed at urban authorities, who need data to manage the urban environment.

The Smart City Digital Platform, in addition to universal services for tourism, organizations, maps, and events, includes tools for city or region management called “Authorities.” The main point of this service is restricted access. Only employees of regional, municipal, and district executive committees and subordinate organizations have the right to view, upload, and edit data. This approach ensures data security and confidentiality.

The “Authorities” subsystem includes modules for:

Library: Centralized storage and management of documents and legal acts, with access to the latest versions of decrees and instructions.
Directories: Updating information necessary for the work of employees, which improves the quality of management decisions.
Performance Indicators: A module for tracking, calculating, and analyzing key indicators that need regular monitoring.
Tasks: Setting and tracking the completion of assignments to enhance executive discipline and efficiency.
Manager’s Dashboard: The ability to create a personalized set of indicators and customize visualizations for detailed information analysis.
